Intro About This Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Event Horizon ("we", "our", or "us") handles your information in the LifeWall Android application.

LifeWall is built with privacy at its core. All your personal data stays entirely on your device. We do not operate servers, databases, or cloud storage for user data.

01 Information You Provide

The App stores the following locally to function:

Your Date of Birth — to calculate your life progress grid.
Your Expected Lifespan — to render the weeks calendar.
Tasks and Schedule entries — your daily to-dos and timed events.
App preferences — theme, font, update time, and toggle settings.

All data is stored exclusively in your device's local SharedPreferences and local file system. It is never transmitted off your device.

02 Biometric Authentication

LifeWall offers an optional App Lock using your device's fingerprint or face recognition.

We do not collect, store, or transmit any biometric data.
Authentication is handled entirely by Android's secure OS biometric APIs.
We never have access to your biometric information.

03 Background Services

LifeWall runs background processes for its core features:

AlarmManager schedules precise daily wallpaper updates and task reminders.
A BroadcastReceiver generates and sets your wallpaper at the scheduled time.
A Boot Receiver reschedules alarms when your device reboots.
Full-screen reminders appear on your lock screen for scheduled tasks.

All processes operate locally and send no data externally.

04 Android Permissions

SET_WALLPAPER

Sets your home/lock screen to the generated life calendar wallpaper.

SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM

Triggers wallpaper updates at midnight and fires task reminders at your exact chosen time.

USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT

Shows immersive lock-screen popup reminders for scheduled tasks when the screen is off.

USE_BIOMETRIC / USE_FINGERPRINT

Powers the optional App Lock via your device's secure OS authentication.

RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED

Restarts alarms automatically after device reboot.

POST_NOTIFICATIONS

Sends system notifications for wallpaper updates and task reminders (Android 13+).

READ_MEDIA_IMAGES

Allows selecting a custom background image from your gallery.

INTERNET

Used solely to download Google Fonts and communicate with Google Play for purchase validation.

WAKE_LOCK

Wakes the screen when a scheduled alarm fires to display your reminder.

05 Internet & Third-Party Services

The App accesses the internet only for:

Google Fonts — downloading font files for display.
Google Play Billing — validating the one-time premium purchase.

We do not use analytics, advertising SDKs, Firebase, crash reporters, or any other data services. No user data is ever sent to our servers.

06 In-App Purchases

LifeWall offers an optional one-time premium upgrade that unlocks additional themes and fonts. All payment processing is handled securely by Google Play Billing. Event Horizon never receives or processes your payment details directly.

07 Children's Privacy

LifeWall is rated Everyone (3+) and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app contains no advertising, social features, or external communication.

08 Deleting Your Data

Since all data is local, you can delete it anytime by:

Going to Settings → Apps → LifeWall → Clear Data on your device.
Uninstalling the app, which removes all stored data permanently.

09 Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
